Frequently Asked Questions

I selected an aircraft overlay on a product page but the aircraft didn't appear on the design.  What gives?
All aircraft overlays are located 'by hand' by a Wild Blue Gear designer, so the aircraft fits just right when paired with your chosen airfield. Because of this, there is no live preview.  Images of the aircraft overlays can be found in the Aircraft Gallery.

When it's ready, we send out a mock-up of the airfield design with the aircraft overlaid, to the e-mail address provided when placing the order.  If you have any feedback on that mock-up, simply respond to that email with your feedback, and we'll tweak the design. 

I'd like to change/remove some of the text.  Can you do that?
Yes, it's no problem.  Just let us know what you'd like under 'Special Requests'.

I didn't see my preferred aircraft on the list.  How do I request it?
Simply write-in the aircraft under 'Special Requests'.  We'll do our best to add it.

I didn't see my airfield in the catalog.  How do I request it?
We're frequently adding airfields upon request.  Please contact us at support@wildbluegear.com with the airfield's identifying information.

Can you do historical designs of airfields that have changed or closed?
Yes, we do.  These are found in our Heritage Collection.  We are always happy to undertake these projects, though they can take a bit of detective work and time.  Please get in touch with support@wildbluegear.com and let us know the facility and dates of interest.  If you have any intel on the facility that will help with the design, that would be very much appreciated!

Can you print on the back?
No problem.  Please type 'print on the back' or similar under 'Special Requests'.

I'm on the fence.  Could I see how an aircraft overlay will look before placing my order?
You bet!  Please just contact support@wildbluegear.com with your preferred pairing (aircraft and airfield) and we'll get back to you with a mock-up.  Or check out some examples here.

The design I want is shown without runway numbers.  Can those be added?
Yes.  Some designs are shown without runway numbers if those numbers might overlap or clutter the design.  We have a few design tricks up our sleeve though to make them fit.  Please just request 'runway numbers' under 'Special Requests'.

Do you offer volume discounts?
Yes! Please contact support@wildbluegear.com with any inquiries.

How long does it take to ship?
Each product page shows current guidance on fulfillment times.  If you have some time pressure, please let us know and we'll do what we can to meet your timetable.

Can you special order other colors or sizes?
Yes we can.  It usually adds a few days to fulfillment times since we may not have your preferred garment in stock.  Please contact support@wildbluegear.com, or write-in your request under 'Special Requests' and we'll do our best.

Some of your recent designs indicate soft surface runways with a pattern.  Can I request that for my airfield?
We frequently add new designs, and recently we've started indicating soft surface runways (like turf) with a pattern, in order to distinguish them from hard surface runways.  Many older designs have not been updated to pattern the soft surface runways, but we are happy to do so upon request.

The design I'm interested in is inaccurate/out-of-date.  Can you fix it?
We'd appreciate you letting us know.  We're always happy to correct or update a design. Please bring it to our attention at support@wildbluegear.com.
